Men and women are constantly separated by the physical expectations society has on gender. Men are expected to be strong, muscular and capable of extraordinary, physically demanding performances. Women are expected to be feminine, dainty and lady like. It is 2015; the ideal female form is changing, but do we still call it feminine? Perhaps it is redefined femininity or not feminine at all. The Stronger is a study on four different areas of extreme physical fitness that represent the current fitness trends with women: CrossFit, Bodybuilding, Athletics and Weightlifting. More women are caring less about what society defines as feminine and more about what their body (and muscles) can do for them. In addition, women who are involved in these different areas show an unwavering confidence. Muscular women are becoming the norm. Can our society accept them as feminine women?
